What a fantastic Monarch Day in Year 2! 🏰👑 To finish our ‘What is a Monarch?’ history topic, we re-enacted the Battle of Hastings to understand how some kings became rulers by force, and learned more about William the Conqueror. The children loved studying the Bayeux Tapestry, building LEGO castles with strong defences, and comparing the jobs and duties people had in Norman times. We also planned everything needed for a coronation — from crowns and robes to thrones and royal props! ⚔️✨ A brilliant day full of creativity, teamwork and historical learning ⭐

A massive thank you to all the wonderful parents and carers who joined us for our whole-school reading event, 'Storytime - Start', this week! We were absolutely thrilled by the incredible turnout, it was fantastic to see our school community come together to celebrate the joy of books. The children in our DT club have been busy building theme parks! They have worked hard to design and create their own rides. Alot of thought went into the structures to ensure they are strong enough. Looks like alot of fun! #everypersonshines
