Tom Benge (Attendance)
Tom Joined our LGC as a Parent Governor in January 2026. Tom has worked for Surrey County Cricket Club for over 20 years in a variety of Talent ID and Player Development Roles, and currently holds the position of Boys Talent Pathway Manager.
Catherine Carver- Hill LGC Chair (Behaviour, Leadership & Personal Development)
Catherine is a retired medical practitioner specialising in psychiatry. During her career she has worked in general adult psychiatry, trained as a family therapist and for several years, set up and worked in a multidisciplinary service for young adults with first episode psychosis. Since retiring from full time work 10 years ago, Catherine continued to work part time in community mental teams, until retiring fully this summer.
Rhiannon Johnson (EYFS)
Rhiannon has over 15 years of experience in secondary education and currently serves as a Drama teacher and middle leader in pastoral care, as a day housemistress, at Epsom College. Her deep commitment to student wellbeing and development underpins her work both in and out of the classroom. She joined the Local Governing Committee (LGC) at EPS in September 2024 and brings a wealth of pastoral and educational expertise to her role as Link Governor for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Abhinav Kapoor (Health, Safety & Welfare)
Abhinav joined our LGC as a Parent Governor in February 2025. Professionally, over the last 15+ years, Abhinav has worked in the Energy industry as a Risk and Safety specialist. Abhinav currently works in a Regulatory Compliance role.
Hugo Sharp (SEND)
Hugo is a partner at the professional services firm Deloitte. There he leads the finance transformation business in the UK, supporting organisations transform their finance, risk and controls capabilities. He sits on the UK Consulting leadership team and is a member of the Partnership Committee that oversees new partners.
James Willis (Quality of Education)
James brings over a decade of experience in secondary education in Epsom. He has served as a History teacher, SENDCo, and a member of the safeguarding team, demonstrating a strong commitment to inclusive and safe learning environments. Currently an Assistant Headteacher, James offers valuable expertise in leadership, curriculum development, and student support and has a commitment to ensuring every child has the opportunity to develop and thrive within education.
