Educational Excellence is a core value at Epsom Primary and Nursery School so that we can equip our children with the social skills and academic ability they need to be able to make choices in their future lives.
Fundamental to that value is the pursuit of good attendance, good behaviour and solid academic results for each and every child. At Epsom Primary and Nursery School we monitor Behaviour and Attendance every week and share this with the children for discussion in assembly.
We feel it is important to share these results with you too so you can see how we are doing, so you can review your child(ren)’s class(es) and work with them to ensure their individual results are the best that they can be.
End Of Year Tests
In primary schools, end of year tests (Standard Assessment Tests) tests are given at the end of year 2 (KS1) and year 6 (KS2).
These tests help teachers – and you - learn more about your child's strengths and weaknesses. Teachers can compare how well each child is doing with their peers, both in their school and across the country. They can also measure how much each child improves from one Key Stage (KS) to another.
