Year 3 visit Butser Farm

Last week, Year 3 went back in time to the Stone Age at Buster Farm. In class, we have been learning about the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age, thinking about how the earliest humans survived. We began the day with a talk by the fire in a Stone Age house before starting our activities. We then were able to try different Stone Age activities, including archeology, cordage, spinning and wattling.

‘My favourite part was the spinning because we got to spin real sheep’s fur. It was really fun and spun really fast.’ Ashaz
‘I really enjoyed the archeology because we got to dig in the pits like a real Archeologists. I found some bricks and animal skulls in mine.’ Lana
