The author Zehra Hicks (from Epsom!) came to visit reception and read one of her books, Cheeky monkey, to the children. She then taught them to be illustrators and the children drew the main character from the story. She has also gave each child in reception a signed copy of Cheeky Monkey to take home with them! #reception #reading #workshop
On 17th June, Year 3 took an exciting trip to Butser Ancient Farm. The children enjoyed a variety of workshops learning all about The Romans. Last Wednesday, our Year 6 pupils joined other schools around the UK for an Amazon adventure as part of their rainforest topic. We used digital mapping to name and locate the rainforests and work out how far away the Amazon is. We also spent time thinking about what life is like for those who live in the Amazon and what our dreams for the Amazon are, considering the vast deforestation currently taking place. We finished the day by making our forest spirit.

I also liked learning about their board games and throwing the dart at the target." "I really loved the Maya workshop, especially when the teacher got sacrificed!" #
