On 17th June, Year 3 took an exciting trip to Butser Ancient Farm. The children enjoyed a variety of workshops learning all about The Romans. They began the day with a talk in the Roman Villa before starting their activities. They were then able to try different Roman activities, including archaeology, pottery and jewellery making. The year group also took part in a 'Portals to the Past' workshop at school last week too, for further interactive learning. Photos below: #year3

Last week, Year 3 went back in time to the Stone Age at Buster Farm.
In class, we have been learning about the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age, thinking about how the earliest humans survived.
We began the day with a talk by the fire in a Stone Age house before starting our activities. We then were able to try different Stone Age activities, including archeology, cordage, spinning and wattling. ‘My favourite part was the spinning because we got to spin real sheep’s fur
Year 6 classes recently visited Henley Fort. They got to take part in a range of World War Two activities including becoming a Home Guard and an ARP Warden.
Take a look at us in action! Pupils also had a lot of fun charging the teachers as the home guard and putting out fires as air raid wardens. #ks2 #year6 #history #schooltrip
